What does self-love mean to you?

Self-love is acceptance, appreciation and valuing our self-worth without judgement.  Self-love is necessary for our overall well-being and happiness.

Unfortunately, self-love has been conceptualised as a moral flaw akin to egotism or narcissism. (I go a little deeper into the myths of self-love in the guidebook that comes with the e-course).

Self-love is also not self-care, it is so much deeper. Although we must certainly consider including self-care practices along our journey.

One of the root causes of unhappiness on the planet is ‘lack’. Lack of worthiness, lack of feeling good enough.  These feelings of lack spill over to all aspects of our lives; health, finances, career, relationships… This lack stems from a lack of self-love.  By focusing our intention on the most important relationship in our life (the one we have with ourselves), we can shift from lack into abundance.

We have been conditioned to chase happiness, to believe that we will find it in external relationships (Hollywood and Disney have a lot to answer for!) We live in a society where negative self-talk has been normalised. Where complaining, judgement and resentment have become a way of being.

  • How many of us live our lives doing things we “should” be doing because we “ought” to?
  • Who else feels resentful after putting everyone else's needs ahead of our own?
  • How many times have we been told we are selfish for putting our own needs first?

It is time to question why we have lost enjoyment in certain activities in life and to reflect on what lights us up from within. It is time to ask ourselves, what does self-love look like and what does a self-love practice actually involve? How would it feel to let go of patterns and habits that have kept us in a loop? It is not selfish to ask these questions and to put yourself first.

Why 28 Days of Self-Love?

Self-Love has been an important part of my evolution and growth in this lifetime.  I struggled with Self-Love, it felt alien to me. To say that self-loathing was my baseline frequency is no exaggeration. When I first began developing self-love, it was an unconscious and unintentional process.  I noticed big changes in my outer world but I had no idea how I was able to turn things around for myself!

Fast forward many years, and since leaving the corporate world, self-love has been a conscious and intentional practice. I have tried many, many tools, modalities, and technologies along the way (some that worked and some that did not) and began to develop and deepen my personal practice of self-love.

This is why I am so excited to share this e-course (at an affordable price!), which includes a few of the tools and technologies that have continued to support me on this ongoing journey. However, I will say, there is no magic wand or magic potion! We are all responsible for our own journey, which means doing the inner work.  Sometimes that inner work may require delving into the shadows or aspects of ourselves that we have repressed, which is not always easy or comfortable.  By practising non-judgement, self-compassion, and self-forgiveness, the baby steps are easier to take.

Who is this course for?

This course has been created for anyone on a self-love journey willing to do the work; whether you are new to this practice, a seasoned self-love practitioner, or someone who has been dipping in and out of it.

What will I learn?

Some exercises in the guidebook are designed raise your self-awareness, help you to see your unconscious patterns and others are designed to rewire your subconscious mind by creating new neural pathways. The practices soothe your nervous system, and break the cycle of unconscious patterns, so that you can heal and be open to loving yourself more deeply and unconditionally.

What material will I have access to?

  1. Guidebook - a 13 page PDF complete with tasks to complete in your own time, a quiz, tips, and a printable calendar so that you can tick off your days as you complete each day as well as a printable progress log.

  2. Welcome Video - a 60 minute accompanying video to the guidebook; includes extra tips and detailed information to the practices and tasks in the guidebook.

  3. Four practices to complete across 28 days.  A short video for each practice to be completed for seven days, which will explain the details of the practice for that week.

When can I start?

As soon as you receive the links to the course material! Although I suggest completing the e-course in 28 days - it doesn’t have to be completed in that time.  It is up to you.  If you miss a day, observe the self-talk - without judgement. It is more important to complete the practices at a pace that works for you.  If you miss a day, forgive yourself, let it go, then carry on the next day.

Consistent, aligned action is the key to a successful practice.

You can consider starting the e-course on a new moon, or full moon, following the 28-day moon cycle.

I have chosen 28 days as it follows the moon cycle and it is also believed that it takes around 30 days to let go of old behaviours.  If you wish to embed new patterns, continue to do these practices for 90 days, which is how long it takes to embed a new habit or pattern.
